The ESWC officials have confirmed to HLTV.org that several players were involved in the hotel party incident last night.
HLTV.org reported first hand this morning that police had been summoned to one of the players' hotels at Disneyland last night following complaints from guests about a party organised by some teams.
"I went to the hotel this morning, because the hotel called me this morning at 8.30, since the police had come yesterday to the hotel Adagio two times, one time before midnight and one time around 2 am," ESWC Overseas Manager Gregorio Machadinho told HLTV.org.
"The hotel received many complaints from regular clients, I imagine that everyone was partying. I visited several rooms and it was a disaster, there were thousands of bottles of beer, it was like a student party.
"The problem was that the police was involved, because the hotel does not want to take responsibility. If the players caused damage, they will pay for it, the problem is that the police are not really flexible, so if the players are causing trouble, they can go to jail, and that is a problem because we feel we will be responsible for that."
Questioned about which teams were involved in the incident, Machadinho did not wish to reveal the names, but he confirmed that there are two teams that are still competing that were involved.
"This morning we were still at the beginning of the tournament, if teams get in trouble and have serious trouble, it’s problematic, because they are our guests but also they cannot participate in any more tournaments, and if it’s damaging the tournaments and the results, it could be a loss, and we want to prevent that from happening," he added.
"Officially, there are no teams in trouble with the police, we gave warning to two teams, who are still in the competition, I won’t mention them, because it would be indiscreet, and we let know the other teams that we will not tolerate it if something more happens with the police in the next days, we want to let them know they could be in serious trouble, but there is nothing we can really do when people are partying and get drunk."
Earlier today, Lions eSportsKlubb and Dignitas denied they had been involved in the incident.
